2A Democrats was founded on the belief that supporting the Second Amendment and progressive values are not mutually exclusive. We are a community of Democrats who believe in constitutional rights, responsible gun ownership, and evidence-based policy solutions.
For too long, gun owners within the Democratic party have felt politically homeless—dismissed by fellow Democrats for supporting the Second Amendment, yet unable to align with conservative policies on other critical issues. We're here to change that narrative.
Our mission is to create space for nuanced conversations about gun rights and safety, advocate for policies that protect both constitutional freedoms and community wellbeing, and amplify the voices of pro-2A Democrats in policy discussions.

We are teachers, veterans, parents, activists, and concerned citizens. We are urban and rural. We are experienced gun owners and those just beginning to learn. We represent the diversity of the Democratic party and the diversity of gun owners in America.
Most importantly, we are Americans who believe that constitutional rights and public safety are not opposing goals, but complementary values that can and must coexist in a functioning democracy.
